Avenue Q Music and Lyrics by Robert Lopez and Jeff Marx Book by Jeff Whitty Winner of the 2004 Tony for Best Musical About the Show Recent college grad, Princeton, moves into a shabby New York apartment all the way out on Avenue Q. Along with his new friends, Princeton struggles to find a job, date, and discover an ever-elusive purpose in life. Filled with gut-busting humor and a delightfully catchy score, not to mention puppets, this truly unique show has quickly become a favorite for audiences everywhere. About Us: Foote in the Door believes in open casting and supporting a diverse production environment with the philosophy that art shold reflect the diversity of the communities in which we live. We enocourage auditions from artists who self-identify and members of under-represented communities. We cannot engage equity members. There are matinees June 2 and 9. June 3 and 4 are dark. We are looking for artists who express themselves well through comedy and music. Puppeteering experience is not required but could be an asset. We strongly suggest that you familiarize yourself with the script and music. Audition Location: Foote in the Door Rehearsal Space, Second Floor (17523-107 Avenue NW). Entry is on the side street. Rehearsals: Tuesday and Wednesday 6:30-9:30p,m, Sundays 1:00-5:00pm. Rehearsals begin the week of March 10, 2024. Puppeteering workshops will he held prior to this date and are TBA.
